In the $5 million dollar verdict law firm obtained on behalf of a 44-year-old woman who was injured when a truck ignored a stop sign and hit her car. She had an MRI that showed the crash caused her to have a “herniated disc” in her lower back. An EMG showed nerve damage. When conservative treatment of physical therapy failed, and injections to relieve her pain failed, she underwent two surgeries to her lower back. She was not able to return to work, and was not able to do many of the activities she usually did before this accident, such as jogging, and playing with her grandchildren. That is why a jury awarded her $5 million dollars.
